Luminor Hôtel de Ville is an independent cinema with two rooms and an upstairs salon on Rue du Temple, in the Marais in the 4th arrondissement. It describes its programme as varied arthouse, with ciné-clubs and festivals through the year, morning screenings for schools and a programme for young audiences. Its history page traces the cinema to the Luminor-Marais, founded in 1912. Renamed Le Latina in 1984, it became a meeting point for Italian, Spanish and Latin American cinema, and in 2014 a group of film professionals, among them the director Bertrand Bonello, took it over and restored the original name.
The rooms are the Salle Buñuel, with 180 seats, and the Salle Rossellini, with 60. For public transport, the cinema lists Hôtel de Ville on metro lines 1 and 11, about a minute's walk away, Châtelet on lines 1, 4, 7, 11 and 14, and Les Halles for RER A, B and D. The cinema states that its rooms are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. Salle 2, upstairs, has an induction loop for hearing-aid users, and screenings of some films with subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers can be arranged on request. The access page has the details.
