The Forum des Images is a film and image centre on rue du Cinéma, inside the Westfield Forum des Halles in the 1st arrondissement. It opened in 1988 as the Vidéothèque de Paris, set up to collect films about the city, and took its present name in 1998. Its programme is built around thematic film seasons, festivals and meetings with filmmakers and artists, and since 2018 it has also taken in comics, video games and new image forms alongside cinema.
The Forum says its three cinemas are adapted for people with reduced mobility and can project 35 mm, 4K digital and video. For step-free arrival it advises taking the lift at the Porte Rambuteau entrance of Westfield Forum des Halles down to level -3, where rue du Cinéma and the Forum are. It lists Les Halles (line 4) and Châtelet (lines 1, 7 and 14) metro stations, Châtelet-Les Halles RER station (lines A, B and D) and the Coquillière-Les Halles bus stop. Large bags, suitcases, bicycles and scooters are not admitted. The practical information page has the access details.
The Forum marks foreign-language screenings VOSTF, which does not by itself mean English audio. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
