UGC Opéra is a UGC cinema at 32 boulevard des Italiens in the 9th arrondissement. Its programme is built around current releases, and UGC's page for the cinema also lists previews (avant-premières). UGC marks each session VF or VOSTF, and a VOSTF label does not by itself mean English audio. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
UGC lists Opéra metro station (lines 3, 7 and 8), Richelieu-Drouot (lines 8 and 9), Auber on RER A, Transilien lines J and L at Gare Saint-Lazare, and buses 20, 42, 52, 53, 66, 68 and 81 at the Opéra stop. It also names Vélib' stations on rue Favart and rue Laffitte, the Meyerbeer Opéra car park at 3 rue de la Chaussée d'Antin, and a taxi rank on Place de l'Opéra. Under the Vigipirate security plan, suitcases, large bags and pushchairs are not allowed inside.
UGC says sound amplification equipment for hard-of-hearing viewers can be borrowed from staff at every session, and audio description equipment for the films it lists with it. The cinema also works with GRETA, a free phone and tablet app offering audio description, sound amplification and subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers on the films UGC names.
