Teenage Moana sails beyond her island reef with the demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on a journey to restore her people's prosperity in this live-action family adventure. It's a PG fantasy voyage with plenty of heart for kids of most ages alongside their grown-ups, running 115 minutes. Screenings are more limited this week, so plan ahead if you want to catch it.

Spielberg's animated Tintin sends the intrepid young reporter and his dog Snowy on a globe-trotting treasure hunt, with Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis and Daniel Craig voicing the cast. It's a lively PG adventure-mystery (107 minutes, 75% from critics) that suits older kids and adults who enjoy a fast-paced quest. Heads up: it's showing just once this week, so catch it while you can.
