L'Arlequin is a three-screen cinema at 76 rue de Rennes in the 6th arrondissement, between Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montparnasse, run by Dulac Cinémas. It opened in 1934 as the Lux Rennes, on a site first meant for an electricity station. Jacques Tati took it over in 1962 and gave it its current name, and under the name Le Cosmos it was for ten years a Paris venue for Soviet cinema. Today Dulac describes a programme with special screenings, debates and exhibitions, and the cinema also hosts festivals and previews.
The large original room has been renovated; rooms 2 and 3 are smaller, and there is a cocktail space. Dulac's accessibility information says the hall is accessible but the screening rooms are not accessible to wheelchair users, and there are no adapted toilets. It lists audio-description headsets and hearing assistance. Dulac says seats are generally not numbered.
For public transport, Dulac lists Saint-Sulpice on Metro line 4 and Sèvres-Babylone on line 12; its access page has the details. Dulac's own listings mark screenings VF or VOSTFR. Neither label by itself means English audio. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
