Écoles Cinéma Club is a repertory cinema on rue des Écoles in the Latin Quarter, in the 5th arrondissement. It is run by Paris Cinéma Club, which also runs the Christine Cinéma Club in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The operator describes it as renovated and as a reference cinema for American, French and Italian heritage films. It also presents films from Africa and Asia through festivals, shows some recent releases and hosts film clubs, several of them run by university and lycée students.
There are two rooms. Paris Cinéma Club's technical sheet lists Room 1 with 110 seats and Room 2 with 89 seats, and Room 2 can also project 35 mm prints. The cinema says Room 2 is equipped with Fidelio, a system for blind and partially sighted viewers, and asks visitors to contact it if they need it.
Many of the films shown here are French or Italian rather than English-language. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
