Christine Cinéma Club is a repertory cinema on rue Christine in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the 6th arrondissement. It is run by Paris Cinéma Club, which also runs the Écoles Cinéma Club in the Latin Quarter. The operator says that since it took the cinema over in 2015, first under the name Christine 21, it has concentrated on repertory cinema: reissues in new prints, seasons, retrospectives and festivals, with much of the programme given to French and foreign classics, in particular Italian, American and Asian films. Film clubs, several of them run by students, also hold screenings here.
The cinema has two rooms. Paris Cinéma Club's technical sheet gives Room 1 145 seats and Room 2 90 seats, and Room 1 can show 35 mm prints as well as digital copies.
Because the programme ranges across French, Italian, Asian and American cinema, many of the films shown here are not in English. Our listings here are for English-audio screenings.
